greek inspired tomahawk steak marinade


1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil

2 tablespoons red wine vinegar

1 clove garlic, crushed

1 tablespoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon brown sugar

~2 teaspoons kosher or sea salt

pepper to taste

1 tomahawk steak or 2 regular sized steaks


  1. Mix all ingredients together in a ziplock bag. Add steak to the bag and move around to cover the steak with marinade. Remove as much air as possible from the bag and marinade 5 hours to overnight (overnight recommended).

  2. Heat bbq to medium high and cook steak to desired doneness.

  3. Rest, slice, enjoy!
