Well looky here, it’s Friday again. You know what that means- it’s cocktail time! This week I’d like to present to you the Guava Passionfruit Sangria Blanco.
This sangria’s got of a little bit of everything, from guava to lemons to pear juice. It also makes quite a lot, so why not invite a few friends over and enjoy it together. I sense a game night in your future. (or you can just halve the recipe)
Hold on to your pants, cuz here we go-
(preemptive side note, not everything is pictured above. you will need some other stuff so please read carefully.)
What you’ll need: 1 cup of cheap brandy, 2 bottles of white wine (I used one bottle of Sauvignon Blanc and one white Bordeaux, but you can use any kind you like. I just wouldn’t recommend anything too dry), 1 can or 1.5 cups of guava juice, 1/2 cup of orange liqueur (I used Patron Citronage), 1/2 cup of pear juice (you can substitute apple juice if you’d like), 1 granny smith apple, 1 lemon, 1 lime, 6 small passionfruit, juice from 1 large tangerine or orange, 2 additional tangerines or small oranges, 1/4 cup of agave syrup.
First pour your two bottles of wine and the brandy into a jar, jug, or pitcher. I used a 1-gallon jar that Asher previously made homemade Limoncello in.
Next, juice the largest orange/tangerine into the liquid. Then, cut up all of your other fruit* and add it to the jar. Be sure to squeeze the citrus over the jar with your hand before you drop it in so you get the juices in the sangria. (*tangerines/oranges, apple, passionfruit, lemon, and lime).
Then add your guava juice, pear juice, and agave syrup, and stir it up reeeaaallll good.
Serve over ice with the fruit or refrigerate and serve chilled. Store in the fridge in an airtight container or covered with plastic wrap for up to 4 days.
